We would welcome any new players of any age, ability or prior experience, and cater for complete beginners through to those aiming for the upper echelons of the performance pathway.

Training is provided for juniors in age group sessions throughout the week, whilst there are multiple opportunities to play with teams at every age from u8s to u18s, along with three badgers teams that play every Saturday.

From the age of 13, a large number of our juniors then progress on to play senior hockey, whilst we have a significant representation within the Staffordshire County setup, as well as players representing the Midlands.

The club is also very proud of our performance achievements over the past five years. In 2019-20 our Boys u16s reached the National Indoor Finals, in 2021-22 our Boys u18s became National Tier 2 Plate Champions and in 2022-23 they became National Tier 2 Cup Champions. Our Boys and Girls u14 have both reached National Cup Semi-Finals, whilst several teams now play at Tier 1 level. Our younger age groups regularly become Staffordshire Champions and reach Midlands Finals.

We are delighted that former North Stafford Hockey Club junior Holly Nixon, has since progressed to play for England u18s, whilst others have represented the club at Futures Cup or England Age Group Trials. Many of our juniors then progress to leading hockey-playing universities to continue their development.
